KDR Skip Bins

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

KDR Skip Bins — ABN 17 102 372 421

Terms & Costs

These Terms and Conditions apply to all skip bin hire, delivery, collection, online bookings, payments and associated services supplied by KDR Skip Bins.

By placing an order, proceeding through checkout, making payment, accepting delivery of a skip bin or otherwise using the services of KDR Skip Bins, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

KDR Skip Bins reserves the right to update its pricing, policies and Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any booking will generally be subject to the terms and prices presented or agreed to at the time the booking is made.

Pricing and GST

  • All prices displayed on this website include GST. GST is not added again on top.
  • A $70 GST-inclusive delivery and fuel surcharge may apply to your booking, depending on your location. Where it applies, it is shown as a separate line in your price breakdown before you book.
  • Before any payment is taken, the price is recalculated by our system using the details of your booking, rather than relying only on the price shown earlier in the process. If that recalculation results in a different price, you will see the corrected price and be asked to confirm it before proceeding — you will never be charged a price you have not seen.

1. Filling Skip Bins

Skip bins must not be filled above the top rim of the bin.

Nothing is permitted to protrude above the rim or extend beyond the sides of the bin.

If a skip bin is overfilled, KDR Skip Bins reserves the right to remove items as necessary so that the bin can be transported safely and legally. Where reasonably possible, removed items may be placed next to or near the bin.

If the bin cannot safely or legally be transported because it has been overfilled, KDR Skip Bins may refuse collection until the customer has corrected the issue.

Additional collection, handling, waiting or disposal charges resulting from an overloaded or incorrectly loaded bin may be charged to the customer. KDR Skip Bins accepts no responsibility for items removed from an overloaded bin where removal is reasonably necessary to allow safe and lawful transport.

2. Weight Limits and Excess Weight

Certain skip bin sizes, waste types and bookings may include specific weight limits or included disposal weights. If the contents of the skip bin exceed an applicable weight allowance or limit, the customer may be charged additional disposal or excess-weight charges.

If the customer has selected an incorrect waste type, KDR Skip Bins may charge the difference between the waste category originally selected and the appropriate waste category.

Additional waste, excess-weight or disposal charges may be:

  • Charged to the payment method associated with the original booking where properly authorised; or
  • Invoiced separately to the customer.

Customers should contact KDR Skip Bins before placing material in the bin if they are unsure whether additional charges may apply.

3. Failed Delivery, No Access and Incorrect Site Information

Customers are responsible for supplying accurate information about:

  • The delivery address;
  • Property access;
  • Driveway width;
  • Gates;
  • Overhead clearance;
  • Surface conditions;
  • Proposed bin position;
  • Obstacles;
  • Site conditions; and
  • Any other information reasonably required to safely deliver or collect a skip bin.

A $150 callout fee may apply if KDR Skip Bins attempts delivery or collection but cannot safely or reasonably complete the service for a reason outside the reasonable control of KDR Skip Bins.

This may include:

  • Insufficient access;
  • Locked gates;
  • Vehicles blocking access;
  • Incorrect delivery instructions;
  • Unsafe site conditions;
  • Site conditions not matching the information supplied by the customer;
  • Insufficient room for the truck to safely manoeuvre;
  • Overhead obstructions;
  • The customer refusing delivery after the truck has attended;
  • The customer providing an incorrect address;
  • The customer failing to obtain a required permit; or
  • Other customer-controlled circumstances preventing delivery or collection.

If another delivery or collection attempt is required, a further callout or delivery charge may apply.

4. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If a customer believes that a payment has been incorrectly processed, they should contact KDR Skip Bins as soon as possible.

Where a customer initiates a payment dispute or chargeback, KDR Skip Bins may provide relevant information to the applicable bank, card issuer, payment provider or financial institution. This information may include:

  • Booking records;
  • Invoices;
  • Customer correspondence;
  • Delivery records;
  • Photographs;
  • Payment records;
  • Proof of service; and
  • Other information reasonably relevant to the disputed transaction.

KDR Skip Bins reserves the right to recover legitimate unpaid amounts through lawful debt-recovery processes.

5. Property Access and Bin Placement

Customers must ensure that there is a clear and suitable path to the requested skip bin delivery and collection location. The truck may need to reverse or manoeuvre into approximately the same position during collection as it did during delivery.

KDR Skip Bins will take reasonable care when entering a property and delivering or collecting a skip bin. However, customers acknowledge that heavy vehicles and skip bins can cause damage to surfaces and property. This may include:

  • Grass;
  • Lawns;
  • Driveways;
  • Concrete;
  • Pavers;
  • Gardens;
  • Trees;
  • Nature strips;
  • Kerbs;
  • Underground services;
  • Septic systems; and
  • Other structures or surfaces.

Where the customer requests that the truck or skip bin enter or be placed on a driveway, lawn, grassed area, paved area or another surface at the property, the customer accepts the reasonable risks associated with that request.

The driver has final discretion regarding whether a proposed bin position is safe and suitable. KDR Skip Bins may refuse to place a bin in a location that the driver considers unsafe, inaccessible or likely to cause unreasonable risk.

Wet or soft ground can significantly increase the risk of trucks becoming bogged or causing ruts, tyre marks, holes, lawn damage, or other ground damage.

Customers should advise KDR Skip Bins before delivery of any known underground services, septic systems, drainage systems, fragile paving or other hazards.

6. Cancellations

Once a booking has been received and confirmed by KDR Skip Bins, cancellation fees may apply.

Cancellation before 4:30pm on the day before delivery

If a booking is cancelled before 4:30pm on the day before the scheduled delivery, a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total booking price will apply. Where the customer has already paid for the booking, the remaining eligible balance will be refunded.

Cancellation after 4:30pm on the day before delivery

If a booking is cancelled after 4:30pm on the day before the scheduled delivery, a $150 cancellation fee will apply.

Cancellation on the day of delivery

If a booking is cancelled on the scheduled delivery day, a $150 cancellation fee will apply. This includes circumstances where the bin has already been loaded onto the truck, the truck has been dispatched, the truck is travelling to the property, or the truck has arrived at the property.

Where the amount already paid exceeds the applicable cancellation fee, any eligible remaining balance will be refunded.

7. Failed Collection / Customer Not Ready

Customers must ensure the skip bin is ready and accessible for collection on the scheduled or agreed collection date.

If KDR Skip Bins attends the property to collect the bin and the customer requests that KDR Skip Bins return on another date, or the bin cannot be collected for a reason within the customer's control, a $150 callout fee per bin may apply.

Customers requiring additional time should request an extension before the scheduled collection.

8. Changing Bin Size

If the customer changes their mind regarding the required bin size after the original bin has been loaded onto the truck, dispatched, is travelling to the property, has arrived at the property, or has already been delivered, a $150 additional delivery/callout fee may apply to remove or return the original bin and provide the replacement bin.

Any difference in hire price between the original bin and the replacement bin will also be payable.

9. Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for circumstances including:

  • Excess weight;
  • Incorrect waste classification;
  • Prohibited waste;
  • Contaminated waste;
  • Overfilled bins;
  • Additional hire days;
  • Failed delivery;
  • Failed collection;
  • Additional delivery attempts;
  • Additional collection attempts;
  • Customer-requested bin changes;
  • Cleaning;
  • Additional disposal charges;
  • Waiting time caused by the customer; or
  • Other additional services requested by the customer.

Where authorised, additional charges may be processed using the payment method associated with the booking. Alternatively, KDR Skip Bins may issue the customer with a separate invoice or payment request. A receipt or invoice should be provided for additional charges.

10. Prohibited and Contaminated Waste

Customers must only place waste in the skip bin that is permitted under the waste category selected when making the booking — see the summary below, or our full Waste Types page.

Bin / waste typeWhat's accepted
General Household WasteGeneral household rubbish, Furniture and household items, Packaging and cardboard
Building & Construction WasteTimber, plasterboard and general construction offcuts, Packaging from building materials, Mixed renovation waste

Never accepted, in any bin

  • Food and putrescible waste
  • LPG bottles and gas cylinders
  • Liquid paint (dry, empty tins may be accepted)
  • Oils, chemicals and thinners
  • Other liquid waste

Prohibited or incorrectly classified waste may result in additional charges. Depending on the bin and waste type selected, prohibited or restricted materials may also include:

  • Asbestos or suspected asbestos — see below;
  • Hazardous chemicals;
  • Liquids;
  • Paint;
  • Gas bottles;
  • Batteries;
  • Food waste where not permitted;
  • Tyres where not permitted;
  • Contaminated soil;
  • Dangerous goods;
  • Explosive materials; and
  • Other hazardous or regulated materials.

Asbestos is only ever accepted bagged and wrapped, strictly by prior arrangement with KDR Skip Bins. Loose or unwrapped asbestos is prohibited in any bin.

Customers should contact KDR Skip Bins before placing an item into the skip bin if they are unsure whether it is permitted. If prohibited or contaminated waste results in additional handling, disposal, transport or cleaning costs, those costs may be charged to the customer.

11. Moving the Skip Bin

Once a skip bin has been delivered, it must not be moved from the position in which it was placed without prior approval from KDR Skip Bins. Moving the bin can make safe collection difficult or impossible.

If a customer or another person moves the bin and KDR Skip Bins must undertake additional work to reposition or collect it, additional charges may apply. KDR Skip Bins accepts no responsibility for property damage caused by a customer or third party moving a skip bin.

If movement of the bin causes damage to a KDR Skip Bins vehicle, difficulty collecting the bin, a truck to become bogged, recovery equipment to be required, or other additional costs, the customer may be responsible for reasonable costs associated with the incident.

12. Standard Hire Period

Unless otherwise agreed, the standard skip bin hire period is one week from the date the skip bin is delivered.

Customers requiring additional time should contact KDR Skip Bins before their scheduled collection. Extensions are subject to availability and approval.

13. Additional Hire / Extension Fees

Where an extension is approved beyond the standard one-week hire period, the following additional hire charges apply:

  • Bins under 8m³ — $10.00 AUD per additional day
  • Bins 8m³ and larger — $15.00 AUD per additional day

Extension charges continue to apply for each additional day the bin remains on hire unless KDR Skip Bins has agreed to another arrangement. Customers should request extensions before the scheduled collection date.

14. Delivery and Collection Times

KDR Skip Bins normally conducts deliveries and collections weekdays and weekends between 7:00am and 5:00pm.

KDR Skip Bins does not guarantee an exact delivery or collection time unless a specific time has expressly been confirmed. Delivery and collection schedules can be affected by traffic, weather, previous jobs, waste facility delays, site access, mechanical issues, road conditions, and other operational circumstances.

KDR Skip Bins will make reasonable efforts to deliver the skip bin on the requested and confirmed delivery date. Collections may occur on the requested collection date or as soon as reasonably practicable afterwards.

15. Long-Term Hire

Hire periods longer than the standard one-week period may be available by prior arrangement. Long-term hire is subject to availability, approval by KDR Skip Bins, and applicable additional hire charges.

Customers requiring long-term hire should contact KDR Skip Bins to arrange an appropriate hire period.

16. Responsibility for the Skip Bin

While the skip bin is located at the customer's property or nominated delivery location, the customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of it. Customers must not deliberately damage the bin, modify it, paint it, mark it, light fires inside it, move it without permission, or use it in a manner likely to damage it.

If a bin is deliberately, negligently or improperly damaged while in the customer's care, the customer may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs.

17. Council Land and Permits

A council permit or approval may be required where a skip bin is to be placed on council-controlled or public property — this may include roads, nature strips, footpaths and other council land.

Unless KDR Skip Bins has expressly agreed to arrange the permit, the customer is responsible for determining whether a permit is required and obtaining the necessary approval. KDR Skip Bins may refuse to place a skip bin on public or council-controlled land where appropriate permission has not been obtained.

Where KDR Skip Bins attends a delivery and cannot complete the delivery because the customer failed to obtain a required permit, the $150 failed-delivery/callout fee may apply. The customer is responsible for fines or penalties resulting from their failure to obtain a permit where obtaining the permit was the customer's responsibility.

18. Unpaid Amounts

All legitimate charges associated with a booking must be paid when due. KDR Skip Bins reserves the right to pursue outstanding debts through lawful recovery processes. Where permitted by law, reasonable costs associated with recovering an outstanding debt may also be sought.

19. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, proceeding through checkout, making payment, accepting delivery, or using a KDR Skip Bins service, the customer confirms that they accept these Terms and Conditions.

Customers completing an online booking may be required to acknowledge:

“By proceeding with this booking, I confirm that the delivery and site information I have provided is accurate and that I agree to KDR Skip Bins's hire terms, extension charges, cancellation terms and failed-delivery/callout policy.”

The availability of a particular card type or digital wallet may depend on KDR Skip Bins's merchant configuration, the customer's device, the customer's bank or card issuer, browser compatibility, and payment-provider availability.

Use of Westpac OnlinePay to process payments does not imply that Westpac endorses, recommends, or is otherwise affiliated with KDR Skip Bins, and publishing these terms does not itself guarantee approval to use OnlinePay as a merchant.

Bank / card statement description

A payment made to KDR Skip Bins may appear on the customer's applicable card or bank statement using the merchant descriptor KDR SKIP BINS. Customers who do not recognise a transaction displaying KDR SKIP BINS should contact KDR Skip Bins where appropriate before initiating a payment dispute.

Payment confirmation

A booking requiring payment is not considered fully confirmed until the required payment has been successfully processed and the customer has received booking confirmation. A payment that is declined, or whose outcome is uncertain, will never be shown or described to you as successful.

If payment cannot be successfully completed, KDR Skip Bins may:

  • Request another method of payment;
  • Contact the customer;
  • Place the booking on hold; or
  • Cancel the unconfirmed booking.

External links

Customers should review the privacy policies and terms of third-party websites before providing them with personal information.

Changes to this policy

KDR Skip Bins may update its Privacy Policy from time to time. The current Privacy Policy will be made available through the KDR Skip Bins website.

Delivery Policy

KDR Skip Bins provides skip bin delivery and collection within its nominated service areas. Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery addresses, contact information, access instructions, site descriptions, gate information, driveway information, clearance information, and bin placement instructions.

Normal delivery and collection operating hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm, weekdays and weekends. KDR Skip Bins will make reasonable efforts to deliver a skip bin on the requested and confirmed delivery date. An exact delivery time is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed by KDR Skip Bins.

Where delivery cannot be completed because access is unavailable, the site is unsafe, site conditions differ materially from the information supplied, the address is incorrect, required permissions have not been obtained, or another customer-controlled issue prevents delivery, a $150 callout fee may apply. Further charges may apply if another delivery attempt is required.

Collection Policy

Customers must ensure that the skip bin remains accessible for collection. The collection vehicle generally requires access similar to the access available when the bin was originally delivered.

Customers must not block the bin with vehicles, lock access gates without arranging access, move the bin, overfill the bin, allow material to protrude above the rim, or otherwise prevent safe collection.

If KDR Skip Bins attends to collect a skip bin and cannot complete the collection for a reason within the customer's control, a $150 callout fee per bin may apply.

Hire Extension Policy

The standard hire period is one week from the date the skip bin is delivered. Customers requiring additional time should contact KDR Skip Bins before their scheduled collection date.

Approved extension charges are:

  • Bins under 8m³ — $10.00 AUD per additional day
  • Bins 8m³ and larger — $15.00 AUD per additional day

Extensions are subject to availability. KDR Skip Bins may require collection of the bin where an extension cannot reasonably be accommodated.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Customers should contact KDR Skip Bins as soon as possible if they wish to cancel or modify a booking.

Cancellation before 4:30pm on the day before delivery

Where notice of cancellation is received before 4:30pm on the day before the scheduled delivery, a cancellation fee of 10% of the total booking price will apply. Any remaining eligible balance may be refunded to the customer.

Cancellation after 4:30pm on the day before delivery

Where cancellation occurs after 4:30pm on the day before the scheduled delivery, a $150 cancellation fee will apply.

Cancellation on the day of delivery

Where cancellation occurs on the scheduled delivery day, a $150 cancellation fee will apply. This applies whether the bin has not yet left the yard but has been allocated or loaded, has been dispatched, is in transit, or has arrived at the customer's property.

Bin size changes

If the customer changes the required bin size after the original bin has been loaded, dispatched or delivered, a $150 additional delivery/callout fee may apply. Any difference in the hire price of the replacement bin will also be payable.

Failed collection

If KDR Skip Bins attends the property to collect the skip bin and the customer is not finished with the bin, has prevented access, or otherwise requests collection on another date without an extension having been arranged beforehand, a $150 callout fee per bin may apply. The customer may also be required to pay applicable additional hire charges.

Refund processing

Approved refunds will generally be returned using the original payment method where reasonably practicable. The time required for an approved refund to appear in the customer's account may depend on the customer's bank, card issuer, payment method, or payment provider.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation where that right or remedy cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

KDR Skip Bins will provide its services with due care and skill, and within an agreed or reasonable time, subject to any lawful limits described elsewhere in these terms. Where KDR Skip Bins is legally required to provide a remedy, these Terms and Conditions do not override that obligation.

Customer Responsibility for Information

Customers are responsible for ensuring that information provided when making a booking is accurate and complete. This includes customer details, contact information, delivery address, bin size, waste type, site conditions, access conditions, requested delivery date, and other booking information.

Additional charges may apply where inaccurate information supplied by the customer results in failed delivery, additional transport, incorrect disposal classification, additional handling, additional collection attempts, or other additional costs.

Online Booking Acknowledgement

Before proceeding to payment, customers may be required to acknowledge the following:

“By proceeding with this booking, I confirm that the information I have provided is accurate and complete. I acknowledge that the standard hire period is one week from delivery and that additional hire charges may apply after this period. I have read and agree to the KDR Skip Bins Terms & Conditions, cancellation policy, delivery and access requirements, extension fees and $150 failed-delivery/callout policy.”
