Start with the job, not the bin
Most people underestimate volume, because a pile of furniture or garden waste takes up far more room loose than it looks stacked. A useful way to think about it is in standard 240L wheelie bins: KDR bins hold roughly four wheelie bins per cubic metre, so a 3m³ skip is about twelve wheelie bins of space.

If you're stuck between two sizes
Compare the two prices in the table directly — the step up to the next size is often smaller than the gap people expect, and a single larger bin avoids the cost of hiring twice if the first one fills. What you're throwing out changes the price
Size is only half of it. A bin of clean bricks is priced differently from the same bin of mixed household waste, and some waste types are only offered in certain sizes. Check which waste type matches your load and what can go in a skip bin before you book, since mixing categories can change what KDR is able to take.
How long you get the bin for
Standard hire includes 7 days from delivery. Additional hire is $10.00 per day for bins under 8m³ and $15.00 per day for bins 8m³ and larger, GST included. If your job might run longer, read how long you can keep a skip bin.
